Tell City knocks off Lanesville

TELL CITY—Tell City came back from a 13-4 deficit in the fourth game to beat Lanesville 25-10, 21-25, 25-18, 25-20 in volleyball Wednesday.
Logan Flannagan served six consecutive points to start Tell City’s comeback and Cassie Bryant later served the last eight points.
Tell City Coach Dalonda Hayes said the comeback “was a positive” and her players “were scrappy.” But she said they still need work on serve reception and passing to the setter.
Kassidie Hayes made 13 kills, Flannagan 12, and Emma Kohnert six to lead 6-3 Tell City’s hitters.
Natalie Peter had 15 assists and Hayes added 11.
Hayes made six blocks, including two solos. Kohnert and Taylor Gentry each added three.
Flannagan served 17 points, including three aces. Kelsey Gowers added 16 points, three of them aces.
Bryant made 22 digs and Flannagan and Peter each added 16.
Tell City won the JV match 25-21, 19-25, 15-11 as Natalie Sanders made four kills and served seven points (five aces).
Bailey Peter made five kills and Monica Bartley added three. Amy Hackbarth had nine assists.
