TELL CITY – The eighth annual Tell City High School Art Show will be held April 2-3 and April 10 in the junior-senior high library. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 2 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 3 and April 10.
Some of the items that will be on display are pencil drawings, pastels, oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, scratchboards, paper mache’ sculptures, weavings and fiber projects, and pottery.
The library, art and vocational graphic departments and the Renaissance class have joined forces to produce the fifth annual TCHS Photobook. Poems written by students in Angela Hilgenhold’s English classes and entries accepted from the student body will be paired with photographs taken by commercial-art and graphic-design students and other students.
Visitors at the show can place Photobook orders at the art show.
Visitors are asked to park in the teachers-visitors parking lot and sign in at the office during the school day. The art department and students extend invitations to parents, businesses and other community members. The art and vocational graphics classes thank local businesses, professionals and high-school staff and faculty for their support and donations during this and past years. Shelly Goodrich is the high-school art instructor.
