Tell City girls place second in tri-meet

LYNNVILLE—Sarah Goffinet won two individual distance races and a relay to lead Tell City to second place in a three-team girls track meet Monday.

Northeast Dubois won with 87 points. Tell City scored 58 and Tecumseh 12.

Goffinet won the 1600-meter run in 5:41 and the 3200 in 12:39.18.

She teamed with Andyn Rowe, Courtney Young and Hanna Goffinet to win the 3200 relay in 11:05.

Tell City also won two field events: Kayla Galloway threw the discus 106 feet, 2 inches and Elizabeth Kohnert went 15 feet, 10 inches in the long jump.

Tell City, 1-3, will host an invitational meet Saturday at 9 a.m.
