FORT BRANCH - Tell City scored 25 points in the two throwing events to finish fifth in the nine-team PAC girls track meet Tuesday.
Southridge won with 137 points. Tell City scored 49.
Julie Davis earned Tell City's highest place, taking second in the discus with a 109-foot-8 throw. Teammate Dana Sibrel placed third at 109-3.
Gibson Southern star Kasey Kahle won with a 128-foot throw. That would have won the Evansville regional last year, when she placed second with a 118-foot-1 throw.
Sibrel placed third in the shot put with a 34-foot-0 toss and Davis took fourth at 32-7 1?2.
Elizabeth Kohnert tied for third in the high jump, clearing 5 feet.
Tiffany Davis earned Tell City's highest finish in running events, placing third in the 1600 meters in 5:35.96.
She took fifth in the 800 in 2:33.10.
Marianne Krueger also scored in both those races, placing seventh in the 1600 in 5:40.31 and eighth in the 800 in 2:39.0.
Andyn Rowe placed fifth in the 3200 with a personal-record time of 12:44.
Krueger, Tiffany Davis, Sidney Strobel and Rowe placed fifth in the 3200 relay in 10:28.54.
Krueger, Tiffany Davis, Strobel and Kohnert took seventh in the 1600 relay in 4:30.91.
Katie Elder, Katie Ernst, Brittany Waninger and Anita van Munster placed eighth in the 400 relay in 59.31.
Tell City, 9-15, will compete in the Perry Central sectional Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
