Tell City girls defeat South Spencer

TELL CITY—Derrian Zabel won one individual event and three relays as Tell City trounced South Spencer 122-36 in girls swimming Wednesday.

Zabel won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:33.79 and teamed with Elizabeth Bishop, Sydney Brown and Kassi Peter to win the 400 free relay in 4:53.10.
Brown, Bishop, Madison Schuetter and Zabel took the 200 medley relay in 2:31.07.
Zabel, Charissa Lahee, Bailey Powell and Loren Braunecker won the 200 free relay in 2:00.17.
Lahee also won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:39.89 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:28.52.
Braunecker won the 100 free in 1:01.59 and Schuetter took the 50 free in 31.39.
Also winning were Samantha Allen in the 100 backstroke in 1:27.26, Peter in the 500 free in 6:51.61, and Bishop in the 100 butterfly in 1:24.52.

Lahee and Braunecker each won two events but Tell City lost at Heritage Hills 126-57 Thursday.
Lahee won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:03.83 and Braunecker won the 200 free in 2:14.27.
They teamed with Zabel and Powell to win the 400 free relay in 4:20.28.

500 free: Braunecker 2nd,  6:10.07.
200 IM: Brown 3rd,  3:00.68
100 backstroke: Brown 3rd, 1:21.61.
200 free: Powell 3rd, 2:26.32
100 butterfly: Bishop 3rd, 1:28.47
Tell City, 3-4 in dual meets, will host Evansville Central Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
