JASPER—Charissa Lahee placed in the top five in all four of her events to lead Tell City to third place in Jasper’s six-team girls swimming invitational Saturday.
Tell City scored 315 points. Jasper won with 600.
Lahee placed fifth in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.06 seconds and in the 100 free in 1:03.12.
She teamed with Derrian Zabel, Bailey Powell and Loren Braunecker to place fourth in the 400 free relay in 4:25.14.
Lahee, Kassi Peter, Powell and Braunecker placed fifth in the 200 free relay in 1:59.22.
Braunecker earned the Marksmen’s highest finish as she placed third in the 200 free in 2:13.64.
She took seventh in the 500 free in 6:20.48.
Three Marksmen placed in the top 10 in the 50 free. Zabel was seventh in 30.15 and Peter ninth in 30.26.
Zabel placed ninth in the 100 free in 1:08.39.
Sydney Brown placed ninth in two events, swimming the 100 butterfly in 1:31.00 and the 100 backstroke in 1:20.10.
Tell City lost a dual meet at Southridge 92-78 last Thursday, winning only three of 11 events.
Braunecker won the 500 free in 6:19.43 and placed second in the 200 free in 2:19.84.
Lahee won the 50 free in 28.69 and took second in the 100 free in 1:03.99.
Lahee, Peter, Powell and Braunecker won the 200 free relay in 1:59.51.
Brown placed second in the 100 back in 1:19.78 and third in the 100 fly in 1:27.44.
Powell took second in the 500 free in 6:29.29 and third in the 200 free in 2:29.26.
Other Marksmen placing third were Peter in the 200 individual medley in 3:09.85 and Elizabeth Bishop in the 100 breaststroke in 1:34.58.
Tell City, 1-4 in dual meets and 4-11 overall, is off until Jan. 2.
