LYNNVILLE—Derrian Zabel won two individual races and a relay to lead Tell City to second place in a girls triangular swim meet Thursday.
Gibson Southern won with 122 points. Tell City scored 110 and Tecumseh 47.
Tell City won six events to Gibson Southern’s four but was hurt by the Titans’ superior depth.
Zabel won the 50-yard freestyle in 29.65 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:16.70.
She teamed with Sydney Brown, Cat Diaz and Kassi Peter to win the 200 medley relay in 2:14.09.
Bailey Powell won the 200 free in 2:28.72 and teamed with Madison Schuetter, Samantha Allen and Brown to win the 400 free relay in 4:43.48.
Brown also won the 100 backstroke in 1:14.56 and took second in the 200 individual medley in 2:55.81.
Peter placed second in the 50 free in 30.01 and in the 100 free in 1:07.58.
Allen placed second in the 500 free in 6:50.13 and joined Zabel, Peter and Powell to take second in the 200 free relay in 2:05.42.
Schuetter placed third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:30.14.
Tell City, 3-7 in dual and triangular meets, will compete in the PAC meet at Tecumseh Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.
