Tell City girl in critical condition after crash

TELL CITY - The mother of a 7-year-old Tell City girl critically injured in a May 3 accident in Spencer County could face criminal charges as early as this week, police said.

Police did not release the name of the William Tell Elementary student, but said her mother, 27-year-old Stephanie J. Beier of 210 Ninth St., Tell City, was traveling at a high rate of speed before the Saturday-night accident on Indiana 70 west of Troy.
