Tell City 10th in golf invitational

BOONVILLE—Corey Young shot a 6-over-par 77 to lead Tell City to 10th in the 12-team Warrick Invitational boys golf tourney at Quail Crossing Saturday.

Tell City shot 373 to beat Tecumseh and North Posey and finish just one shot behind Bosse. Evansville Central won with 295 and Castle and Evansville Memorial each shot 305.

Young finished 11th among 60 golfers with his best 18-hole score ever.

He also shot his best nine-hole score ever, an even-par 36, on the back nine.

He birdied the par-4 No. 10 hole and par-5 No. 18 hole.
