LEOPOLD—Trent Lindauer scored two long touchdowns as Tell City beat Perry Central 43-12 in eighth grade football Thursday.
Lindauer scored on a 56-yard run in the first quarter and a 60-yard kickoff return in the second period.
He also ran 46 yards to set up a 3-yard touchdown run by Bryson Naviaux.
Naviaux threw touchdown passes of 10 yards to Bryon Reid and 21 yards to Davin Lawrence.
Joe Craig scored Tell City’s other touchdown on an 11-yard run and also ran for a two-point conversion.
Lindauer ran for two two-point conversions and kicked one extra point.
Clinton Payne scored both Perry Central touchdowns on a 5-yard run in the first quarter and an 85-yard run as time expired.
Tell City won the seventh grade game 42-0 as Trent Mucker scored three touchdowns on runs of 37 and 40 yards and a 55-yard punt return.
Spencer Fest returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown. Ty Smith and Devin Blake each added a 2-yard touchdown run.
Tretter Lyons ran for two two-point conversions and Smith added one.
Tell City improved to 2-0 in the eighth grade and 1-0 in the seventh grade. Perry Central is 0-2 in each grade.
