TELL CITY – Tell City Junior Senior High School will hold its annual honors program for students in grades seven through 12 beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the school auditorium.
Among students who will be recognized are those who achieved honor roll for the first three grading periods this school year. Also, students who have qualified for the president’s award for educational excellence by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the first semester of the current school year, and who have also demonstrated high achievement on the most recent state test in mathematics or language arts will be honored.
Additional recognition will be given to students who will receive the American Legion outstanding eighth-grade boy and girl awards, principal’s awards for the top two students with the highest GPA for the year in grades seven through 11 and the citizen of the year awards for an underclassman and a senior student. The two seniors with the highest cumulative GPA will be recognized with medallions at the senior scholarship awards program in May.
Attendance is by invitation only with several distinguished guests being invited. The event is underwritten by German American Bank and Old National Bank.
Light refreshments will be offered in the Red Apple Inn following the program.
