MOUNT VERNON—Hana Reed won the diving to lead Tell City to second place in a three-team girls swim meet Saturday.
Though all three teams swam together, the meet was scored as three separate dual meets. Tell City beat Vincennes Lincoln 127-44 but lost to Mount Vernon 125-55.
Tell City would have won 10 of the 12 events in a dual meet with Vincennes. But in the combined meet Reed was the Marksmen’s only winner with 153.45 points in diving.
Erika Hauenstein placed second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:31.77 and the 500 free in 5:50.74.
She joined Chelsea Malone, Amanda Wagner and Jessica Wagner to swim on two second-place relay teams.
They swam the 200 medley relay in 2:02.88 and the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49.26.
Amanda Wagner placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.60.
She took third in the 50 free in 26.96 and Malone was fourth in 27.04.
C.J. Fentress placed fourth in the 200 free in 2:18.81 and the 100 free in 1:05.55.
Amber Fentress took fourth in the 100 butterfly in 1:24.37 and Jessica Ballman was fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:16.76.
Chelsea Malone won two individual events and a relay as the Marksmen crushed Evansville Central 112-70 at home Tuesday.
Malone won the 50 free in 26.04 and the 100 free in 58.76.
She teamed with Hauenstein and the Wagner sisters to win the 200 medley relay in 2:03.36.
C.J. Fentress won the 200 free in 2:18.93, Tiffany Davis was second in 2:22.20, and Alyson Goffinet was third in 2:38.42.
Hauenstein won the 500 free in 5:47.49, Davis was second in 6:19.17, and Goffinet was third in 6:41.76.
Amanda Wagner won the 100 breast in 1:13.65 and Bailey Malone was third in 1:23.28.
Reed won the diving with 153.20 points.
C.J. Fentress, Ballman, Davis and Jessica Wagner won the 400 free relay in 4:24.71.
Ballman placed second in the 100 back and Amber Fentress was third in 1:15.42.
Hauenstein placed second in the 200 IM in 2:29.54 and Amanda Wagner was second in the 50 free in 26.69.
Bailey Malone took third in the 200 IM in 2:38.80 and C.J. Fentress was third in the 100 free in 1:03.35.
