TC clinches tie for PAC

TELL CITY—McKenzie Hayes made 29 kills, 10 digs and a school-record 12 blocks (11 solo) as Tell City beat North Posey 25-6, 21-25, 25-23, 26-24 in PAC volleyball Saturday.

The Marksmen improved to 7-0 in the PAC, clinching at least a tie for their second consecutive conference title.

Kassidie Hayes added 11 kills and two blocks and Logan Flannagan eight kills to Tell City’s attack. Charissa Lahee had 46 assists.

Stori Beard led Tell City’s back-row defense with 20 digs and Cassie Bryant added 11.

Hannah Schaefer served 19 points, including four aces. Lahee added 11 points.

Tell City lost to Jasper 25-13, 25-21, 25-20 Tuesday.

“Jasper played really well, and we missed a lot of serves,” said Tell City Coach Dalonda Hayes.

McKenzie Hayes made 18 kills and two blocks. Kassidie Hayes added three kills and four blocks and Flannagan three kills and three blocks.

Lahee had 26 assists. Beard served eight points, including two aces.

Beards also made 14 digs and Bryant added 11.

Tell City, 23-3, will visit Paoli tonight at 6.
