MLK Day Event

The Indiana State Bar Association and the Indiana Pro Bono Commission will sponsor Talk to a Lawyer Today, a pro bono program to provide legal assistance to the underserved Monday, Jan. 18, as an annual tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The program is an opportunity for attorneys statewide to offer free legal consultations to members of the general public who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney. More than 200 attorneys will provide  10- to 15-minute consultations.

A statewide hotline will be available by calling (800) 266-2581 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, a Spanish hotline, (800) 279-8772, will be made available to the public during that time.
