Sophomore religious-education students at St. Paul Catholic Church learned about the process of picking a pope Sunday evening. Benedictine Sister Mary Emma Jochum, the parish’s director of religious education, led the discussion with students offering ideas on the qualities a new pontiff should have. Suggestions included a pope in tune with the needs of younger Catholics, a knowledge of the world outside of Rome and Europe and one able to speak a number of languages.
