CANNELTON - Students and their adult chaperones visited the state capitol April 12, Elementary Principal Ginger Conrad told the Cannelton School Board April 28, and their "very nice trip" included visits to the state treasurer's office, Senate, House of Representatives and a state courtroom. "We did not see (Gov.) Mitch Daniels, although he was supposed to be in the building that day, somewhere," she said. The students "did have a very good time," she continued, "They learned a lot" and enjoyed a meal at The Spaghetti Factory afterward.
