People can help at TV-station Web site
CANNELTON - Students enrolled in a student-publications course at Cannelton High School want as many people as possible to see and vote for a video production they created and posted at the WFIE-TV Web site.
"This is the first time they've made a video, and we're very proud of it," Principal Ginger Conrad said at a March 19 school-board meeting.
The production's theme is school pride, and several students and staff members are asked, on camera, what they like about their school.
To see the production, go to http://14wfie.com, mouse over "Contests/Entertainment" and click on "Contests." Click on "Leadership Scholars Through Your Eyes." The resulting page contains a video screen, under which a scrollable list of video entries contains the clickable title, "TYE Cannelton." Clicking on a "View and Vote" image at the bottom of the page takes you to a page where a "Register to Vote!" link appears. Contest rules say viewers can vote once each day, and those with multiple e-mail addresses can register once for each address and vote multiple times each day until the contest's 4 p.m. March 31 deadline. Contest sponsor Fifth Third Bank will award $514 to the winning school.
