Canopy will be built at William Tell Elementary School this summer

TELL CITY - Students arriving at or departing William Tell Elementary School will soon have protection from the elements.

Originally submitted to the school board for approval at its previous meeting, the issue was tabled until the Feb. 28 meeting, when Elementary Principal Laura Noble could attend to explain the need.

"It came up at a (parent-teacher organization) meeting," she told the board. "I and others were surprised this wasn't in the original plan."
