Home heavily damaged in Leopold; wind peels roofs from barns
PERRY COUNTY - Severe thunderstorms packing wind gusts of up to 70 mph roared across the county Tuesday evening, leaving a path of peeled roofs and downed trees and limbs across several areas.
The small community of Leopold was hardest-hit, with one home heavily damaged and several downed trees in and close to the town. Powerful winds also pulled off roofs and destroyed a large farm-storage building along Ashland Road in Anderson Township.
