Stepping Stones Preschool now enrolling

LEOPOLD – Stepping Stones Preschool, located in the lower level of St. Augustine Catholic Church Parish Hall is now accepting registrations for the 2014-15 school year. The preschool seeks to provide a positive educational experience for 3- and 4-year-old children to prepare them for elementary school.

Stepping Stones uses a thematic unit and project type approach to learning that allows children to explore their interests and develop creativity through practical, hands-on experiences.

The children experience the benefits of working together with a group to achieve a common goal through investigation, center activities, artwork and discussion. The program also includes field trips, guest speakers, community readers, a reading incentive program and snack time prayer. The small classes provide one-on-one time to work on motor skills and meet the needs of individual children to help them acquire and apply new skills. Staff members also reinforces peaceful play patterns to help them get along with their peers.

Three year olds have an option of attending classes Mondays and Wednesdays or Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and is $65 per month.  The 4-year-old class meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and is $80 per month.  

Children must be 3 years old by December 2014 and must be fully potty trained.   Extended hours of childcare may be available for an additional fee if needed by enough children. Extended hours are from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
