Stepping Stones to host fun 2-mile run-walk

LEOPOLD – Small Steps to Wellness, a new fun run-walk hosted by Stepping Stones Preschool, will be held Saturday, April 26.

Organizers say they plan to make this an annual event that will directly benefit youth and their families in rural Perry County and invite the community to participate in this family-friendly event.

Runners and walkers are welcome. All money raised will support the Small Steps to Wellness program with a portion being donated to the Perry Central High School baseball team.

The race will begin and end at Stepping Stones Preschool at 18020 Lafayette St. in Leopold.  

Race-day registration will be from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. Registration forms are available at EverBody’s, Hollinden Realty, German American Bank in Tell City, Perry Central School, Stepping Stones Preschool, and Guillaume’s Store in Leopold.

The cost of the event is $20 for ages 11 and older and $10 for ages 6 to 10 if postmarked on or before April 7.

Children 5 and younger can participate free but must still pre-register to receive a free T-shirt.

There is an underscore in the email address between stepping stones and pre-school.

All registrations postmarked on or before April 7 will receive a free T-shirt.

Top male and female participants will receive a prize and all children participating will receive a participation prize.
