St. Marks Homemakers meeting news

ST. MARKS – St. Mark Homemakers met June 18 at St. Mark Parish House. Pledge to the Flag, homemakers Creed and devotions were recited.
Six members answered roll call by naming their father’s favorite hobby.
Treasurer, Norma, has sent the membership dues. Coins for Friendship, and Nickels for Leadership to county treasurer.
Marlene collected the IGA receipts.
Four club members at-tended Achievement Day in May.
President Marlene re-minded members to volunteer to be Watchers in the exhibit building during the 4H Fair July 7-13. Also should bring something for Open Class Exhibit and for “How Does Your Garden Grow?” on Sunday, July 7.
“Protecting Your Nest Egg From Investment Fraud” was given by Eva.  Thirty percent of all investment fraud happens to seniors.
Co-Hostess Norma entertained with Quickie Bingo and prizes. Hostess Eva served chocolate cheese-cake and drinks.
Mary Louise got the door prize.  She also received a Wind Chime for her birthday from secret pal. Carol Ann also got a birthday gift.
Next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. July 15 at St. Mark.
Meeting adjourned by singing the Indiana Homemakers Association Prayer.
