FULDA – St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda, a member of the National Registry of Historical Churches, is hosting its annual summer picnic Aug. 4.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with fried chicken and roast-beef dinners with all the trimmings and dessert served in the air-conditioned dining rooms until 2 p.m. Carry-outs will also be available. Fulda’s “famous” soup will be sold by the bowl or bulk, as well as hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fried-chicken and tenderloin sandwiches, ice cream and drinks.
Many handmade quilts will be raffled throughout the day. All the quilts will be display at the annual quilt show from 9 until 11 a.m. Sunday in St. Boniface Church.
A raffle will be held at 4:15 p.m. for two quilts that were chosen at the quilt show. The grand raffle with lots of prizes will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Other features of the day include live music, family games, soda toss, bingo, themed-basket raffle and the kid’s fun center, including a bounce house.
The country kitchen will have homemade goodies including breads, rolls, muffins, coffee cakes, noodles, snacks, salsas, jellies, jams, relishes, plants and more.
St. Boniface Catholic Church is located on Indiana 545 between St. Meinrad and Troy.
