Vanessa Sprinkle and Chris Newton were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Blue Heron Winery Farm in Rocky Point.
The bride is the daughter of Bob and Vicki Sprinkle of Tell City. Mr. Newton is the son of Terry and Darlene Newton of Tell City.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Jason Sprinkle, brother of the bride and man of honor.
Jessi Sprinkle of Tell City, sister of the bride, was chosen as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Mahoney of Nashville, Tenn., and Kasie Reed of Cannelton. Tori Sprinkle of Tell City, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
Dan Kluender of Bloomington served as the best man. Groomsmen were Eric Newton of Evansville, brother of the groom, and Brandon Jarboe of Troy.
Ushers were Jeff Gilmore and Nathan Riley, both of Tell City.
Readers at the ceremony were Beth Fortwendel of Hawesvile, Ky., and Rosemary Chamberlain of Tennyson, aunt of the bride.
Special music was provided by guitarist Lloyd Nugent of Cannelton. A selection sung was “I Wanna Grow Old With You.”
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Schergens Center in Tell City.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Chris Newton will reside in Tell City.
Mrs. Sprinkle-Newton is a graduate of Tell City High School and the University of Southern Indiana. She is a coordinator assistant at Lincoln Hills Development Corp. Early Head Start.
Mr. Newton is a graduate of Tell City High School and the University of Southern Indiana. He works as a geologist for Alt & Witzig Engineering.
