Army Reserve 1st Sgt. James Harris paid a surprise visit to William Tell Elementary School Tuesday, greeting his son, James, whom he hugged shortly after making a surprise entrance. The elder Harris is home on a two-week leave from a deployment in Afghanistan and said his son, who is in first grade, did not think he would be back until this summer. Harris talked about some of his responsibilities with his unit and also taught students, above, how to give the U.S. military salute.
