LEOPOLD—Southridge pounded 27 hits, including 10 for extra bases, to beat Perry Central 24-5 in baseball Wednesday.
“They hit the ball and we’ve got some work to do on pitching and defense (five errors),” said Perry Central Coach Phil Zellers. “Our outfield struggled pretty bad.”
Tanner Cassidy went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs to lead Perry Central. Andrew Mosby went 2 for 2 and was hit by a pitch for the fourth time this season.
Alton Cummings pitched the first three innings for Perry Central to take the loss. He and relievers Trey Mullis and Bryce Ridener combined to walk seven and strike out one.
