TELL CITY – Line workers employed by Southern Indiana Power returned to their jobs Friday after the union representing them and the company reached an agreement on a new contract.
Joe Bailey, assistant business agent for Local 1393 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and Chris Goffinet, attorney for Southern Indiana Power, confirmed the agreement Friday.
Bailey said the agreement followed “positive changes” in the company’s offer. Employees were back on the job at 7 a.m.
Southern Indiana Power locked out workers Oct. 1 after they turned down the company’s offer.
