Troy volunteer firefighters made and sold four kettles of their “famous” soup Sunday, drawing a steady stream of customers carrying bags, tubs and various totes to carry home one or more gallons.
Fire Chief Pudder Linne said the department has been lucky in recent years, with nice weather boosting attendance. “We’ve been rained on at night (when cooking begins before dawn) but we usually luck out.” Proceeds help support the department.
