TELL CITY - The Perry County Family Readiness Group would like to have everyone's support for the soldiers currently serving in Iraq and their families, according to Chairwoman Amy Lumpkins.

The group supports soldiers, for example, by sending "care packages" containing phone cards and items they might find difficult to obtain at their overseas station. Support for family members stateside can include help with issues such as home or car repairs.

The group's next meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tell City armory. Food and child care will be provided. Further information may be obtained by calling Lumpkins at (812) 897-1890.
