MU GAMMA CHAPTER OF BETA SIGMA PHI will celebrate Valentine’s Day at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fiesta Grande in Tell City. Hostesses will be the special events committee.

THE CLASS OF 1966 GAL PAL LUNCH will be held at noon Thursday at The Patio restaurant in Tell City.

THE BRISTOW COMMUNITY CENTER offers euchre at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the center.

THE WILLIAM TELL CENTER will have its weekly dance at 7 p.m. Saturday at the center. Sweetwater will perform.

THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY UNIT 213 will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 at the post home in Tell City. President Charlotte Lindauer will preside and all members are encouraged to attend.

Run For Kids’ Sake 5K takes off March 1
TELL CITY – The Run For Kids’ Sake 5K, Big Brothers Big Sisters first annual fun run-walk, will be held March 1. Organizers invite the community to participate in this family –friendly event. Runners and non-runners are welcome and all money raised directly benefits children and families in Perry and Spencer counties.

The race will begin and end at Everbody’s Fun and Fitness Center, 710 Fulton Street in Tell City. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the race will begin at 9 a.m.

Registration forms may be picked up and dropped off at Everbody’s, Hollinden Realty and German American Bank in Rockport. Forms are also available online at www.bbbsov.org/perryspencer or send mail to BBBS – RFKS, P.O. Box 144, Tell City, IN 47586. Make checks payable to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Register by Friday and receive a free race T-shirt. Wear purple and gold in celebration of Mardi Gras. The best Mardi-Gras dressed runner or walker will received an award.
