Snow forces postponements again

PERRY COUNTY--Another snowstorm hit southern Indiana this week, forcing postponement of all sports events involving Perry County teams Tuesday and Wednesday and some Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Tell City's home boys basketball game with Pike Central, scheduled this Friday, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 1, with the JV game starting at 5:30 p.m.

No new date has been decided yet for Tell City's homecoming ceremonies and athletic hall of fame inductions, which were also scheduled Friday.

Perry Central's home boys basketball game with West Washington, scheduled this Friday, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26, with the JV game starting at 5:30 p.m.

Perry Central's girls basketball game with Southridge was called off Thursday and will not be rescheduled.

Since that was the Commodores' final home game of the season, when they traditionally hold their senior night, they will hold their girls senior night at their boys basketball game with Heritage Hills Feb. 28.

Also called off Thursday were Perry Central's freshman basketball game at Lanesville and junior high boys basketball games with Mitchell.
Tell City’s PAC girls basketball game at Heritage Hills, postponed Tuesday, has been rescheduled for this Saturday, with the JV game starting at 11 a.m. and the varsity at 12:30 p.m.
Also postponed Tuesday was Tell City’s boys swim meet at Pike Central.
Cannelton’s home girls basketball game with Rock Creek Wednesday was postponed for the second time.
Perry Central’s freshman, junior high boys and junior high girls basketball games were postponed Monday.
