Sibbitt charges reduced in deal

ENGLISH – Felony convictions of intimidation and resisting law enforcement have been reduced to misdemeanors in the case of Cannelton City Schools Superintendent Alva Sibbitt Jr.

The action, taken Monday by Crawford Circuit Judge K. Lynn Lopp, was in exchange for Sibbitt waiving his right to appeal. A Crawford County jury convicted him Oct. 2.
