PERRY COUNTY - This week has been designated Severe Weather Preparedness Week in Indiana. The National Weather Service, in conjunction with the Indiana State Police, Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Indiana Department of Education, American Red Cross, amateur radio operators and media across the state, will conduct a statewide test of communication systems Thursday, March 20. Two tests are planned, between 9:15 and 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 and 6:45 p.m.
If severe weather threatens during those times, the drill will be conducted the following day.
