LEOPOLD—Miranda Claise drove in three runs and pitched a four-hitter as Perry Central defeated South Central 12-2 in girls softball Friday.
Claise struck out five, walked four, and gave up only one earned run.
Teammates Ashley Guillaume and Sydney Goffinet each matched Claise’s three RBIs.
Guillaume hit a double and a single. Goffinet and Morgan Richardson each also went 2 for 4.
The Commodores led only 2-1 going into the bottom of the third inning but then exploded for seven runs.
The game was the season opener for both teams.
