Scientific demonstration

-A A +A
By The Staff

Daisy Suters, top photo, tries to capture layers of colored water in a straw during a back-to-school open house Wednesday at Tell City Junior High School as her mother and brother, Amanda and Dax Huff, look on. Parents were given an opportunity to run through their children's schedules. Sixth-grade science teacher Kyle Miles said the demonstration involved making and testing hypotheses. Parents and students could enjoy a chili supper during the event, served up by, among others, cook Erin Parker, at left in lower photo, and cafeteria manager Sheila James.
