School board learns of resignations, approves hirings

TELL CITY - Tell City-Troy Township School Board members heard about or approved a number of personnel actions at a regular meeting Tuesday.

Support-staff members who submitted resignations as the school year draws to a close included junior-high cook Kris Seamon, William Tell Elementary School yearbook editor Susan Newkirk and elementary science-bowl coach Leanne LeClere.

Also resigning from William Tell positions are media-club coordinator Mark Wahl, Jill Lacy from Ready Schools, program assistants Brooke Huthsteiner, Shannon Kleeman, Karen Smiley and Tracy Stephens, and Brooke Huthsteiner, Tracy Stephens and Jessica Niswonger from the On Target program.

Carolyn Etienne is resigning as high-school drama director and drama-club sponsor. Resigning junior-high coaches include Brett Kleeman, basketball; Kelly Hollinden, cross country, and Lesley Stallings, volleyball.

Moving into On Target positions after the board gave its approval will be Michael Parr, Caitlin Steen, Courtney Cain, Trish Solbrig and Rachel Lasher.

Sally Minto will take a four-hour cook's position at William Tell, Wade McKim will become evening custodian in the same building and Stephanie Northernor will take a job there as a program assistant.

Sandra Smitson will take a four-hour-cook job at the junior-high school.

Dan Hall will serve as high-school student-council sponsor. Alan Hess will become a volunteer football coach and Brenda Simpson will work as cafeteria manager.

Natasha Judy will assume a part-time certified-staff position, replacing Brett Mulzer as assistant music and band director.

Ronnie Robinson's employment as English teacher, assistant football coach, drama coach and drama-club sponsor was also approved.
