Trina Schaefer of Adyeville and Jimmy Strobel of Dale were united in marriage during an outdoor, afternoon ceremony Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the 320 Ranch in Big Sky, Mont.
The bride is the daughter of Pauline Schaefer of St. Meinrad and the late Harold Schaefer. Mr. Strobel is the son of Jim and Dorothy Strobel of Dale.
The Rev. Darius Larsen officiated the ceremony.
The bride’s mother, Pauline Schaefer was chosen as matron of honor, along with her sisters Paula Lutz of Haubstadt and Jackie Schaefer of Santa Claus, and Becky Stanek of Billings, Mont.
Bridesmaids were Miah Schaefer of Ferdinand, niece of the bride, and Kayla Stanek of Billings.
Ron Gilbert of French Lick served as best man. Groomsmen were Glen Hassfurther of Santa Claus and Lawrence Robbins of French Lick.
Mark Lutz, brother-in-law of the bride, sang and played guitar and Kayla Stanek played violin for the ceremony. Jenifer James of Dale and Connie Bender of Dale, sisters of the groom, were readers at the ceremony.
After the outdoor ceremony, family and friends went for a ride in horse-drawn wagons into the surrounding national forest, then to the reception site along the Gallatin River where they had a “chuckwagon-style” supper of Montana rainbow trout and New York strip steak followed by entertainment from a live bluegrass band under the mountain stars
The couple spent several days in Montana at the ranch with family and friends
Both bride and groom are 1987 graduates of Heritage Hills High School.
The bride works at the St. Meinrad Archabbey as the grounds-landscaping supervisor. Mr. Strobel is a graduate of Oakland City University and is the self-employed owner of Dale Metal Fabricators and Strobel Farms.
The couple lives in Adyeville.
