DERBY – Sally J. Schaad, 78, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at her home.

She was born in Indianapolis Nov. 1, 1933. Her parents were the late Hubert S. and Bessie E. (Schaad) Raines. Also preceding her in death were a son, Stephen Linn and a granddaughter, Tiffany Linn.
She was a 1950 graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis. Sally retired from Chase Bank and was a former Indianapolis Democrat precinct committeewoman. She was also a former Perry County News Derby correspondent. Sally enjoyed wildlife and gardening.
Surviving are her daughters, Diana Sue Crowley of Evansville, Vera Ellen Kirlin of Derby, Judi Michele Martinez of Indianapolis and Jeanne Lee Perkins of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a son, Brian Keith Linn of Indianapolis; 10 grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were con-ducted Saturday, Jan. 28, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Derby.
