Roberts completes Army basic training

FORT JACKSON, S.C. – Pvt. Zachary Roberts graduated from the Army’s basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. Aug. 23.

Roberts completed an intensive program that included training in military discipline, studies, physical fitness, warfare principles and skills. He is the son of Carolyn Roberts of Rockport and Terry Roberts and the big brother of Shelby Roberts.
His maternal grandparents are Lindle and Sue Bratcher of Rockport and paternal grandmother is Wanda Clark of Owensboro, Ky.
Roberts is a 2012 graduate of Tell City High School and reported to advanced individual training at Fort Lee, Va. immediately following his graduation.
