TELL CITY – A coordinated city-county-port effort to improve a portion of River Road has won state funding. Indiana Department of Transportation officials announced last week that the project will receive $620,400 in Local Public Agency funding.
The money will be used to widen, strengthen and pave a portion of the road from Indiana 66 near the Patio Steak House west toward the Ohio River. A second phase will improve the road to Boundary Way near the Tell City River Port.
