PERRY COUNTY - His name is Spirit, and his coloration symbolizes "good medicine," Jim Carter said of a horse nearly nursed back to health and looking for another home.
The Humane Society of Perry County president said Spirit was found in very poor condition when he was rescued from owners no longer able or willing to care for their animals, but has regained close to 150 pounds and is ready for immediate adoption.
A woman who has been caring for him has to turn her focus to her own health problems.
