Registration ends today for special education workshop

TELL CITY – A group of workshops and training sessions will be offered by INSOURCE – Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs – for those wishing for more information about Special Education practices.

“Special Education 101” will provide an overview with an emphasis on the parent’s role in the process, dispute resolution options for parents and the importance of building good relationships. Information about setting up your child’s home file will also be covered.

Registration deadline is today. If fewer than three registrations are received, the workshop may be canceled. The program is free and open to the public.

The workshop will be presented by Leisa Barber, INSOURCE Regional Program specialist.

Also included in the series will be Individualized Education Plans and Section 504, Feb. 18; Understanding Article 7, March 11; Article 7 and Discipline, April 8 and Preparing for Your Case Conference, May 6.
