Redevelopment authority pays jail bills

TELL CITY – The Perry County Redevelopment Authority authorized Wednesday the payment of $299,336.43 in construction bills for the new county jail. Of that, $17,730.92 was invoiced by the DLZ architectural-engineering consulting firm of Indianapolis.

Craftsman Construction of Huntingburg billed the county $287,354.94, and from that amount, $11,749.43 was withheld as retainage, to be paid once the facility is determined to have been built according to plans.
