DERBY – The Hoosier National Forest announced this week that Rainbow Lake in Perry County is open to the public. This deep lake in a former quarry just north of Indiana 70 west of Derby was previously operated under a special-use permit. The permit was not renewed and the lake is now part of the publicly accessible sites.
