TELL CITY – Rail-car visits to the Port of Tell City were up by 44 over projections for 2012 and “a big improvement over 2011” according to the operations manager and trainmaster for the Perry County Port Authority and Hoosier Southern Railroad.
Kevin Teague was reviewing performance numbers during a regular meeting of the port-rail agency’s board of directors Jan. 8. As of the preceding month, 2,104 carloads of materials had transited the port, 210 cars more than in 2011, he reported.
