HUNTINGBURG—Tied after 12 matches, Southridge won the final two to beat Tell City 39-30 in wrestling Tuesday.

Tell City Coach Joe Litherland noted that one of his wrestlers who lost down the stretch “was sick all day yesterday.”

And “Southridge has a real good team. I said before they’re the favorite in the PAC.”

Tell City won five of the 12 matches actually wrestled (the teams split two forfeits).

Andy Kast, Kyle Shrubb and Dylan Froehlich earned pins for the Marksmen.

Froehlich has pinned all three of his opponents this season.

A.J. Flynn and Justin Kleemann won decisions for the Marksmen.

Litherland called Kleemann’s 4-1 win in the 160-pound class “the best match of the night. Justin wrestled a real good match.”

Tell City, 2-1, will host a six-team round-robin tourney Saturday at 9 a.m. in Bryan Taylor Arena.
