Raiders defeat Tell City boys

HUNTINGBURG—Justin Peter won two individual events but Tell City lost to Southridge 88-72 in boys swimming last Thursday.

Peter won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:05.72 and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.62.

Greg Clayton won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.03 and teamed with Trevor Nelson, Nick Bower and Jarrod Clayton to win the 200 free relay in 1:44.93.

Logan Bolin won the diving with 144.45 points.

Greg Clayton took second in the 500 free in 5:48.01 and Jarrod Clayton was second in the 100 back in 1:16.73.

Bower placed second in the 50 free in 25.03 and Nelson was third in 26.08.

Nelson took second in the 100 free in 57.39.

Tell City finished seventh in Jasper’s nine-team invitational Saturday.

Peter scored the Marksmen’s highest individual finish with a seventh place in the 100 back in 1:03.99.

Bower, Peter, Nelson and Greg Clayton took sixth in the 200 free relay in 1:43.08.

Bolin placed ninth in diving with 240.70 points.

Placing 10th for the Marksmen were Greg Clayton in the 200 free in 2:08.35, Bower in the 50 free in 24.67, and Peter in the 100 fly in 1:09.23.

Tell City, 5-15, will host South Spencer Jan. 7.
