Public invited to DAR program, meeting

TELL CITY – The Lafayette Spring Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution announced Kandie Atkinson, administrative specialist with the Kentucky Land Office Branch, will speak at the group’s monthly meeting Wednesday.
This meeting will be open to the public and begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Perry County Public Library – Tell City branch.
This program will be beneficial to anyone doing family research using land records. It is important to note that many first families in Perry County made their way here by route of Kentucky.
Atkinson’s program will be over land records and their benefits in family research and how to use them.
She will also go over how to access a free search Web site and how users can gain the most benefit from a search.
