GERALD – Perry County sheriff’s deputies and state-police troopers responded to a shooting Thursday that was later determined to be self-inflicted.
Police did not release the name of the female victim, who apparently shot herself with a .22-caliber handgun while in the home of Francis Kellems, located at 12965 Tiger Road.
Kellems, who told police the woman was his caregiver, called a family member shortly after 12:30 p.m. after discovering the woman had shot herself multiple times in the chest and arm.
