TELL CITY - Police recovered stolen merchandise valued at nearly $10,000 from two homes in Tell City Thursday, including home electronics, baby strollers and small appliances allegedly shoplifted by five adults and three juveniles from Tell City's Wal-Mart.
Shopping carts holding flat-screen TVs, food processors, area rugs and even bedding were apparently pushed out of the store under the noses of employees, said Patrolman Roger Smith, who cracked the alleged theft ring with fellow Officer Bryce Hammack.
